Fleet program

We work the yard. Nothing leaves the lot.

Send one truck to a glass shop and you lose a driver for half a day. We work the other direction — one technician, one visit, every damaged unit on the property handled where it sits.

The real cost

The glass is rarely the expensive part.

A windshield line item is easy to look at. The costs stacked behind it are the ones that actually hurt — and they only exist because the chip was allowed to grow past repair.

01

The driver you lose

A shop appointment is a shift. Drive time, wait time, cure time, drive back. Multiply that by every unit that picks up a chip this quarter.

02

The unit you can't dispatch

A truck in a bay is a truck that isn't running a route. On a tight fleet, that's a rental, an overtime shift, or a customer waiting.

03

The recalibration

Anything with a forward-facing camera behind the glass needs ADAS recalibration after a replacement. A repair never triggers it.

04

The violation

Damage in the driver's viewing area is an inspection finding under §393.60. That follows the carrier, not just the truck.

05

The seal you broke

Every replacement cuts the factory urethane bond. Every new bond is a new chance at a leak, a whistle, or a comeback.

06

The claim on the record

Replacements go through insurance. Repairs frequently don't need to — and quiet years are cheaper years.

How a sweep runs

A morning, start to finish.

  1. Walk the lot

We inspect every windshield on the property and mark what's repairable, what's borderline, and what's already past saving.

  2. You approve the list

You get the count and the per-unit price before any work starts. No surprises on the invoice.

  3. We work unit by unit

Roughly half an hour per chip, done in place. Units stay dispatchable the entire time — we work around your schedule, not against it.

  4. One invoice, one record

A single consolidated invoice with every unit and repair listed, so your maintenance file and your bookkeeper both stay happy.

DOT compliance

Know the rule before an inspector quotes it at you.

The federal glazing standard for commercial vehicles is 49 CFR §393.60. For the area of the windshield in the driver's field of view, it allows damage only when:

  • It fits under a ¾-inch disc. Bigger than that in the viewing area and it's no longer within spec.
  • It's at least 3 inches from other damage. Two chips close together fail even if each one passes alone.
  • Cracks don't intersect. A single crack may pass; two that cross do not.

A fresh chip almost always sits inside those limits. A chip that has been through a few cold mornings often doesn't. That gap is the entire argument for catching them on a schedule instead of one phone call at a time.

This is a plain-language summary, not legal advice — the regulation text governs.

Get pricing

Tell us what's in the yard.

Rough vehicle count and a general idea of the damage is enough to get you a number. We'll confirm it on-site before anyone touches a windshield.

  • Same-day quotes on anything sent during business hours.
  • No minimum contract. Try one sweep and decide from there.
  • Standing schedules available monthly or quarterly.
